  2. You must be a citizen of any 166 countries eligible for an Indian visa.
  3. You must have taken an initial level of medical treatment in your own country and then been advised to go to Indian for further medical treatment.
  4. The Indian hospital where you will have treatment must be specialized for the medical issue you have.

Indian e medical visa duration or validity

An Indian e-medical visa is valid for 60 days from the arrival day in India. The visa can be availed two times in a year. And, you can enter India three times on a single e-medical visa.


You need to register yourself with the FRRO/FRO within 14 days of your arrival in the country. The registration process is the same for almost all countries, but it changes slightly for the subcontinental nations.

For example, if you are a Pakistani or Bangladeshi national, then you have to do so with 24 hours of your arrival in the country. Your visa registration will be done according to the provisions given in Para 118 and Para 106 respectively.
